KIWIAGENT LTD ("we", "our", "us") operates SmartBuddy (smartbuddy.co.nz). This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

The short version

• Your conversations are yours. We don't train AI models on them.
• Isolated by design. Each Buddy runs in its own container — other users can't see your data.
• Data lives in New Zealand. Our infrastructure runs in Aotearoa.
• Delete anytime. Cancel your account and everything associated (Buddy, memory, messages) is deleted.

What we collect

Account information — email, name, hashed password.

Subscription data — plan, billing status. Payments are processed by Stripe; we don't store your credit card.

Conversation content — messages you exchange with your Buddy, stored so it can remember you. Encrypted at rest.

Technical logs — timestamps, error traces, connection metadata for reliability and abuse prevention. Retained 30 days.

How we use it

• To provide the SmartBuddy service.
• To let your Buddy remember you across conversations (that's the whole point).
• To bill and support your subscription.
• To detect abuse (spam, threats, illegal use).
• We do not sell your data. We do not use it to train third-party AI models.

Third-party processors

• Stripe — payments (US / EU / AU).
• Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) — message transport.
• AI model provider(s) — inference only; no long-term retention of your prompts.

Your rights

• Access, correct, or export your data at any time.
• Delete your account and all data.
• Object to a specific use.
